From GnR to Instrumnental Rock....

Ok... I've been struggling with this issue ever since I listened to Guns N Roses. Although I succeeded in cutting out more Demonic bands such as Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Slipknot and Metallica from my computer, I still listen to Guns N Roses occasionally...

But I found out there are some hard rock/metal songs without all those negative lyrics... They're the instrumental or neo-classical metal... Without any vocals... Many would say the best instrumental rock guitarist is Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen or Paul Gilbert, I kinda dislike that style... All shredding gives me a headache... I prefer the ones that are a little bit slower like Jerry C's "Cannon Rock".

Recently I checked out "Buckethead", a former guitarist for Guns N Roses who once replaced Slash... Some of his songs like "Jordan" have lots of shredding but also lots of wacky effects... Another one of Buckethead's songs, "Soothsayer" is a little bit EMO but the riff bears resemblance to "Diary Of Jane" by Breaking Benjamin, only two times longer and more guitars in them... "Soothsayer" should be in the Twilight soundtrack although I don't like the movie because it has a very dark, morbid, emo and gothic tone... I know he's quite a scary guy with the KFC bucket on his head and his wierd costumes and his chicken stories but at least there's no lyrics so the negativity is not there... You can even put in your own lyrics...LOL

Soothsayer - Buckethead

Jordan - Buckethead

Cannon Rock - Jerry C(covered by FunTwo)... This is one of the most popular YouTube videos...

Ok, so I'm trying to limit the listening of GNR by listening to Neo-Classical and Instrumental rock music...
