I recently watched Eagle Eye and Mongol DVD's but I never touched Beverly Hills Chihuahua because Not my type...
Eagle Eye was not bad... Sort of like Terminator where Skynet tries to seize control... But the "Eagle Eye" is so intelligent that it doesn't requre Cyborg armies to bring down it's targets... Instead, it manipulates people including Shia LeBeouf to do it's will to bring the government into rapid decline...
Mongol is a historical film about the rise of Genghis Khan... Quite violent like 300 but no CGI at all opposed to 300... The film also shows the softer side of the otherwise violent and ruthless Genghis Khan such as his relationship with his wife Borte, the friendship with rival Mongol ruler Jamukha who became his enemy due an accident... The best part of this movie is the cunning strategies of Genghis Khan to win battles where his army is outnumbered...
But the best of the movies I've watched recently is The Godfather series...
To all people who enjoy watching The Sopranos TV series or The Departed, this is a must watch... This is the story of the Corleone mafia family... The Godfather novels even have a part in which Don Vito Corleone scared the s*it out of a famous real-life Chicago mob boss called Al Capone... Vito Corleone(Marlon Brando) dies in the first film leaving his younger son Michael(Al Pacino) to run his father's business after the eldest and violent Sonny gets killed and 2nd brother Fredo is a weak homosexual man...
the sequels part 2 and part 3 shows Michael's desperate moves to make the family business legitimate or legal but in both movies Michael was forced to return to crime to protect his family from enemies including his own brother Fredo who decided to betray Michael out of jealousy...
The equally good Part 2 shows Michael's efforts to invest money in Cuba but is thwarted by "allies" including his elder brother Fredo who wants the throne of the crime world for himself... Part 2 also contains flashbacks of Don Vito Corleone's early life from native Italy to his rise to power in New York... In part 2, Vito is played by a young and skinnier Robert DeNiro...
The not as good Part 3 shows Michael one step from complete legitimate affairs when rivals attempt to kill him and his family... Part 3 ends with Michael's daughter being killed on an assasination attempt on Michael... He goes into deep depression and dies alone...
But there won't be a part 4...
